Connection to Country and Indigenous cultures on UQ's campuses

Carroll Go-Sam, Kelly Greenop, Kali Marnane and Theresa Bower at the launch of the Campuses on Countries: Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Design Framework on 21 June, 2022 at Customs House, Brisbane.

The University of Queensland has launched the Campuses on Countries Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Design Framework, which will guide all future building and landscape design on UQ's sites and campuses. It is a vision generated from engagement and deep listening, embedded in place, and one that reminds us of our gift to future generations every time we make a decision about constructing or changing our environment. I have learned so much from working on this project with Carroll Go-Sam, Kelly Greenop and Theresa Bower. You can read the Design Framework and accompanying Engagement Report on UQeSpace. You can read Carroll’s powerful speech in UQ’s School of Architecture news.
